David Asper to Visit FIMS

David Asper, Executive Vice President of CanWest Global Communications Corp. and Chairman of the National Post will visit Western on Friday, March 17.
Mr. Asper was originally scheduled to attend the announcement of the CanWest Global Fellowship in Media and the David Vienneau Scholarship, which was made in the FIMS television studio on December 2, 2005, but he was unable to be present due to inclement weather.

On March 17, at 1:30 pm in North Campus Building, Room 117, Mr. Asper will give a talk to the Journalism students. Any interested members of the FIMS community are welcome to attend.

*** I guess some of the FIMS faculty will be brandishing holy water and large crucifixes to protect themselves. Maybe the Ghost of Izzey will make an appearance.
