Bear guy goes big time
My bear guy went big today, appearing on the front of the Globe! Of course they just poached my story and sent their own reporter down to retrieve the same damn quotes I got nearly a week ago (second time in two weeks the damn globe has done that to me. . . not bitter, not bitter), but still good to see bear guy getting national attention. . . Globe story here .

That does make me feel better. . . That's what happens when you have far too much time to write a simple story. . .
The CP version is my story, they just graciously decided to cut off my byline (not bitter, not bitter). For more Globe poached reading see last Saturday's focus section for my guy that died in world's smallest jet (whoda guessed world's smallest jet would be dangerous?)

they buggered me. . . the first lte. I spoke with failed to return my call and by the time I got around to calling back, I was told the date of my guys deployment was moved up to this week, i.e. not enough time to convince my bosses to send me to Petewawa.
So that all amounted to too much work for no story.
